Taurus just walked into the suppressor game with a three-can lineup called the TTX series. The one that matters most for a lot of us is the TTX22<\/strong> \u2014 a lightweight titanium rimfire suppressor they basically built to live on a TX22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’ve been running TX22s for years (full-size review and upgrades videos are linked below), and I’ve got TX22 Compact content in the pipeline. A factory can that threads straight onto those guns, at a $299.99 MSRP, is the kind of news that actually changes how people build a rimfire setup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why it fits a TX22 \/ TX22 Compact<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Taurus TX22 pistols ship suppressor-ready with a 1\/2-28<\/strong> thread (adapter collar on the standard TX22; threaded barrel on Competition and many Gen 2 \/ Compact configs). The TTX22 uses that same pitch. No adapter gymnastics \u2014 thread it on and shoot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At 3.71 ounces<\/strong> and about 5.5 inches<\/strong>, this is a “leave it on” kind of can for a rimfire pistol. On a full-size TX22 it shouldn’t turn the gun into a front-heavy brick. On a TX22 Compact it’ll add length, sure, but the weight penalty is tiny compared to a lot of steel rimfire cans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s also rated past .22 LR into .22 WMR, .17 HMR, and 5.7×28<\/strong>. So if you’ve got a magnum rimfire rifle or a 5.7 host with 1\/2×28, you’re not locked into a .22-only tube. For most TX22 owners, though, this is a dedicated plinker \/ steel \/ small-game hearing-saver.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
