A true LPVO like a 1\u201310 is hard to engineer well. A big 5\u201325 can be way too much glass on a modern sporting rifle. That is the gap the <strong>Vector Optics Continental 2-12&#215;44 FFP<\/strong> is trying to fill.<\/p>\n<p>This is a first look, not the full deep-dive. I said it on camera: full video coming soon. What follows is what I actually walked through on this optic \u2014 no invented MSRP, no brochure dump.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Vector Optics Continental 2-12x44 FFP\u2026 Ideal All Around?\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/R-VGSMvZZg0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Why a 2\u201312 instead of an LPVO or a 5\u201325<\/h2>\n<p>LPVOs are popular, but getting a good 1\u201310 right from the engineering side is not trivial. High-power glass in the 5\u201325 class is often too heavy for an MSR. A 2\u201312 sits in the middle: you can almost run it both-eyes-open at the low end, and it still gets you what you need for steel out toward a thousand yards \u2014 or, for the rimfire work I was doing, out to about 300 yards.<\/p>\n<p>If you already know the Continental line from the bigger glass, we covered the <a href=\"https:\/\/slavguns.com\/index.php\/2026\/05\/07\/vector-optics-continental-4-24x56-the-new-king-of-the-base-class-optic\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Continental 4-24&#215;56<\/a> separately. Different magnification band, same family conversation.<\/p>\n<h2>What is on this Continental 2\u201312&#215;44<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Illuminated reticle<\/strong> with <strong>11 brightness settings<\/strong> and an on\/off between each one.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Parallax down to 10 yards<\/strong> \u2014 that is the rimfire-friendly part.<\/li>\n<li>Knurling and adjustments that felt <strong>super smooth<\/strong> on this sample. Elevation and windage both <strong>locking<\/strong>, with nice audible clicks.<\/li>\n<li>The turret I showed has about <strong>29.5 mils<\/strong> of adjustment on that cap. The scope itself is capable of <strong>over 65<\/strong>, and it includes a <strong>second turret cap<\/strong> that is not maxed out the same way \u2014 swap the cap as your needs change.<\/li>\n<li>Second and third turn indicators, markings on the ring, locking so you are not bumping zero around.<\/li>\n<li>Comes with a set of <strong>low-profile rings<\/strong> that work well on a bolt gun. Other ring heights are available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Where Continental sits<\/h2>\n<p>Continental is relatively new to the U.S. market. In Europe they have been bigger \u2014 the pitch is good value, in the same conversation people already have about brands like Arken on the U.S. side. This is their higher-end optic lane, and it comes with a <strong>lifetime warranty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>I am not inventing a street price. I did not quote one on camera.
