Bergara has been stomping configurations and stock options; Tikka has started catching up with newer stocks and adjustability. On the table we had a newer-config Tikka in <strong>6.5 PRC<\/strong> (they had run out of Tikkas and needed another) and a <strong>T1x<\/strong> rimfire \u2014 and the footprint story is the real party trick.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Same action size story:<\/strong> Magnum and short-action Tikkas share a lot of accessory compatibility. Magazine stop \/ mag-release length helps control where the bolt stops, so the platform stays interchangeable.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chassis flexibility:<\/strong> You can move an action toward a magnum setup with a different bolt and a chassis that takes a magnum magazine.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Smoothness:<\/strong> Aaron shot his first mule deer with a Tikka in 7mm Rem Mag \u2014 \u201csmooth out of the box\u201d is the recurring theme.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The catch:<\/strong> Less aftermarket than a Remington 700. Remington is still the accessory king; Tikka is the \u201cit just runs\u201d foundation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>1. Bolt handle: leverage + that Accuracy International sweep<\/h2>\n<p>Factory Tikka handles work \u2014 better than a Ruger American\u2019s stubby handle \u2014 but they\u2019re short and not really meant to be customized.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Upgrade:<\/strong> Anarchy\u2019s swept handle, AI-inspired geometry. Palm it, drive it home, stay tight to the rifle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Why it matters:<\/strong> Back around 2015\u201316, a lot of PRS guns started life as donor Tikkas \u2014 gunsmiths buying actions, tossing stock and barrel, and building. The action was that good as a foundation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Design note:<\/strong> Aaron says only a couple of companies world-wide do this particular swept style (Anarchy in the US; another shop in Australia). Most competitors do a simpler threaded handle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>First time I ran a Tikka with that angle, it felt natural \u2014 especially for shorter hands. Flip, run back with the finger, drive home with the swell under the thumb.<\/p>\n<h2>2. Bolt shroud, scope bases, and \u201clooks factory\u201d<\/h2>\n<p>Anarchy\u2019s Tikka lineup (as covered on camera) is focused, not endless:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bolt shrouds:<\/strong> Cheap T3x shrouds are plastic; CRT gets aluminum. Anarchy\u2019s shroud is about sharp lines and a one-piece look with the handle more than a hard performance must \u2014 unless you crack the plastic one (which happens).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Scope bases:<\/strong> They make Tikka bases; a bubble-level version was in the works at the time of the sit-down.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bolt knobs:<\/strong> Multiple shapes for different applications \u2014 same philosophy as their Ruger work.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>3. Trigger spring: factory Tikka is already excellent<\/h2>\n<p>Unlike the RPR conversation (where the factory trigger is the weak link), Aaron calls the <strong>Tikka factory trigger one of the best on any factory rifle<\/strong>. Anarchy\u2019s add-on is a drop-in <strong>trigger spring<\/strong> (Yo Dave\u2013style sourcing \/ research path) that can cut pull weight roughly in half \u2014 down toward just above a pound.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Precision use:<\/strong> Makes sense for match work if you know your rifle.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hunting:<\/strong> Personal preference and skill. Aaron still frames it as drop-safe on Tikkas, but he\u2019s careful recommending ultra-light pulls for hunters. His hunting Tikka example was roughly in the two-and-a-half-pound neighborhood without that spring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>They also carry the <strong>Chimney<\/strong> two-stage trigger path (shown in the rimfire \/ T1x context elsewhere in the Anarchy sit-downs).<\/p>\n<h2>4. T1x rimfire: self-timing handle + Bravo package<\/h2>\n<p>The T1x is the rimfire sibling in the same conversation. Anarchy\u2019s T1x handle uses a <strong>self-timing nut<\/strong> (think self-timing muzzle brake) so you can rotate the handle through a wide arc and lock it where your hand lives \u2014 including tucked-in setups for bag work and content shooting (Clark Shooter\u2019s gun on the table).<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Same concept<\/strong> carries to Bergara B-14 handles with a small flange for the aesthetic transition.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Muzzle brake<\/strong> sized to the barrel diameter \u2014 because why not.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Scope base with level<\/strong> for the T1x footprint (shorter action than the centerfire Tikkas, so not the same base).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>5. KRG Bravo + fat mag release<\/h2>\n<p>Anarchy sells a lot of <strong>KRG Bravo<\/strong> stocks (KRG is close enough that they get shipments multiple times a week). Sub-$400 class chassis vibe that gives you a vertical grip story and the features people chase in much more expensive stocks.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Extended mag release:<\/strong> Big pad that fills your fingertip \u2014 designed with competition input from Aaron\u2019s brother-in-law. On camera it was framed as a low-cost upgrade that makes running a T1x in a Bravo feel phenomenal.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Compatibility caveat:<\/strong> That fat release is <em>not<\/em> for the factory stock \u2014 Bravo chassis territory.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Weights \/ balance:<\/strong> Weighted Bravos that settle into the shoulder pocket when you shoot properly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>6. What\u2019s still on the roadmap (no invented specs)<\/h2>\n<p>Aaron was clear they don\u2019t make a ton of Tikka SKUs \u2014 about a half-dozen products \u2014 with more flushing out of the line:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Better bolt releases<\/li>\n<li>Stainless free-float lug under the receiver (replacing the factory free-floating lug idea)<\/li>\n<li>Experimenting with <strong>bottom metals<\/strong>, including for the T1x factory stock<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Proprietary magazines remain the Tikka headache. CRT \/ Tac-A1 style guns get praise as \u201ccomp-ready out of the box\u201d with a Bravo \u2014 and side-eye for non-AICS mags and (on some models) integrated \/ non-standard optic interface choices. Anarchy\u2019s message to Tikka at SHOT years ago: fix those two things and they sell a lot more.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>SlavGuns Take: Do you need Anarchy parts on a Tikka?<\/h3>\n<p>If you want Remington-700-level aftermarket depth, buy a Remington (or a Bergara on that footprint). If you want a factory action that already feels custom-smooth, Tikka is why the rage exists \u2014 donor-gun history included.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201clow hanging fruit\u201d here is different from the RPR list: <strong>swept bolt handle<\/strong> for feel and speed, <strong>trigger spring<\/strong> if you want match weight on an already excellent trigger, and on the T1x side a <strong>Bravo + extended mag release + self-timing handle<\/strong> package that turns a great shooter into a competition-friendly runner.<\/p>\n<p><em>Keep on squatting.
