Support the channel: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC-9L8A-ErbbszFrgXbs6QnA\/join\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">join on YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Why aftermarket threaded barrels matter on the P320<\/h2>\n<p>At the time of filming, Sig&#8217;s site showed a big pile of P320 models for sale (excluding the serialized fire control unit), but only a handful shipped with threaded barrels built to run a suppressor \u2014 including the P320 XCarry Legion and a couple of Custom Works guns (P320 AXG Combat and P320 Spectre Comp Blackout). Companies like Faxon filled that gap with Match Series barrels for the platform.<\/p>\n<p>On camera I ran them in my used <strong>Sig P320 VTAC<\/strong>. The gold TiN barrel dropped right in and fit the way I wanted.<\/p>\n<h2>Options: size, length, finish<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sizes:<\/strong> Compact and full-size (full-size is what I had on hand).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Profiles:<\/strong> standard Match barrel, or a longer <strong>threaded<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Finishes:<\/strong> black nitride, gold TiN PVD, and chameleon PVD. I had both the gold TiN and the chameleon in the video \u2014 gold is the one that ended up living in the VTAC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Faxon starts with stress-relieved <strong>416R stainless<\/strong>, CNC machines the barrels in-house (including the flame fluting), then salt-bath nitrides them. The gold and chameleon versions get their PVD finish on top of that. Made in the USA. Price range called out on camera: roughly <strong>$175\u2013$235<\/strong> depending on size, fluting, and finish \u2014 generally meaningful savings versus OEM threaded options from Sig.<\/p>\n<h2>Fluting, drop-in fit, and the crown<\/h2>\n<p>Flame fluting on a handgun is mostly about looks here \u2014 the fluting is light. On rifles, fluting can shave a little weight and add surface area for heat; on a pistol that benefit is a lot smaller. What mattered more for me: these are <strong>drop-in ready<\/strong>. Older aftermarket barrels often needed a gunsmith and \u201cdrop-ins\u201d could be sloppy. This Faxon Match barrel locked up <em>tighter<\/em> than the stock OEM tube in my gun \u2014 which tracks for a match-oriented barrel versus a more rugged, reliability-first OEM.<\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;re <strong>conventionally rifled<\/strong>, so you&#8217;re not limited the way some aggressively rifled tubes are \u2014 lead, FMJ, moly-coated, and plated bullets are all in play. Muzzles get an <strong>11\u00b0 crown<\/strong> to help protect the rifling (and on the rifle side that crown style is a known accuracy helper).<\/p>\n<h2>Why the threaded tube sticks out<\/h2>\n<p>First thing you notice installing the threaded barrel: it protrudes farther than OEM. There&#8217;s a reason. P320s are tilt-barrel guns, and the guide rod sticks out \u2014 the extra length keeps a suppressor (or brake) from kissing the guide rod on the way back. Thread pitch called out on camera: <strong>1\/2\u00d728<\/strong>, so you can run your choice of suppressor or muzzle brake where legal.<\/p>\n<h2>Range notes: factory ammo vs tight chambers<\/h2>\n<p>These are match-grade chambers and barrels \u2014 tight with some projectiles. Factory round-nose ammo was a non-issue. A friend&#8217;s thicker, more concave \u201cbio\u201d style bullets struggled to chamber fully; we showed that on camera (failure to go into battery, marks on the bullet). If you reload match ammo, you may need to watch sizing the same way you would with other tight chambers (think CZ territory). Faxon also had <strong>Duty<\/strong> barrels listed on the site at filming \u2014 cheaper (around the $100 ballpark in the video), not available yet then \u2014 aimed at less-tight chambers. When those land, they&#8217;re on the list to test.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d had these barrels about a year by the time of the video and put real time on them. Happy for gun games and steel. Finishes: gold is my pick; chameleon is fine if that&#8217;s your style \u2014 most of the barrel sits under the slide anyway, so what you see is mostly the muzzle end.<\/p>\n<h2>Bottom line<\/h2>\n<p>If you already own a P320 (or you&#8217;re moving somewhere you can run a suppressor) and your gun didn&#8217;t come threaded, Faxon&#8217;s Match Series barrels are a solid way to add 1\/2\u00d728 without OEM pricing. Drop-in, tighter lockup than my stock tube, multiple finishes, and real range time behind the take. Factory ammo behaved; handloads with fat ogives need the usual match-chamber care.<\/p>\n<p><em>Keep on squatting.
