This is not a range T&amp;E write-up.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Squat Squad \u2014 my local FFL handed me a gun they figured I\u2019d hate. I picked it up and\u2026 yeah, this thing\u2019s pretty dope. Way better than I expected. Support the channel: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UC-9L8A-ErbbszFrgXbs6QnA\/join\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">join on YouTube<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>From pocket 365 to Fuse-sized<\/h2>\n<p>If you know the P365 line, you know the story: it started as a compact meant for pocket \/ deep conceal carry. Then \u2014 like everybody and their mother \u2014 Sig kept making it bigger because people wanted more gun. We got the <strong>P365X<\/strong>, then the <strong>Macro<\/strong> (a step up in size), and now the <strong>Fuse<\/strong> goes further: Macro-style frame energy with a bigger slide on top.<\/p>\n<p>A lot of folks hate that idea for CCW. Bigger slide, less \u201cmicro,\u201d so they call it pointless as a carry piece. Fair take if pure concealment is the only scorecard.<\/p>\n<h2>What surprised me in the hand<\/h2>\n<p>Forget it as a pure pocket carry for a second. In the hand this thing feels great \u2014 almost a 1911-ish grip feel, but in a polymer 9. Flat trigger that felt solid on the counter, with a reset that was nice and positive (once we got past a tight first press on the store gun).<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s packed for a range \/ duty-adjacent role more than deep cover:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Optics cut<\/strong> \u2014 mount a micro RMR-class optic direct.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flat rear sight<\/strong> \u2014 rack on a belt or edge if you need to.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fiber-optic front<\/strong> with enough space between the sights for quick acquisition.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Serrations<\/strong> front and rear that actually work, plus grip texture I really liked.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Flared magwell<\/strong> on the frame.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Magazines in the box<\/h2>\n<p>It came with <strong>three magazines<\/strong>: one flush-fit <strong>17-round<\/strong> that feels nice in the hand, and two <strong>21-round<\/strong> sticks. That\u2019s a serious capacity package for a 365-family gun sitting on an FFL counter.<\/p>\n<h2>Who it\u2019s for (from this first look)<\/h2>\n<p>I\u2019m not a Sig fanboy. This is one of the first Sigs where I caught myself thinking, \u201cwow, I actually dig this \u2014 I want one.\u201d As a deep conceal CCW? Probably not the hill I\u2019d die on. As a range gun, a trainer for smaller hands, or a \u201cnice shooting polymer 9 that still lives in the 365 universe\u201d? It feels amazing sized that way.<\/p>\n<p>Bottom line from the counter: polarizing as a carry concept, surprisingly lovable in the hand. I\u2019m reaching out to Sig \u2014 and if they don\u2019t send one, I\u2019m buying one.<\/p>\n<p><em>Keep on squatting.
