Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information SlavGuns (slavguns.com) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. SlavGuns is run by 2A Media LLC (“SlavGuns”, “we”, “us”). It’s a firearms content site with reviews, articles, YouTube videos and daily deals.

Questions or requests: [email protected].

The short version

  • You can read the site without giving us your name or email.
  • If you sign up for the Daily Deals email or texts, we keep your email address or phone number with our email provider, Brevo, so we can send them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • We use analytics and a CDN/security service, which process technical data like your IP address and browser type.
  • Many links are affiliate links. Stores and affiliate networks may use cookies to credit us for a sale.
  • We don’t sell your personal information.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Newsletter and SMS signups: your email address, and your phone number if you sign up for texts, plus the date and source of the signup.
  • Comments: if you comment on a post, we store your name, email address, website (optional), comment text, IP address and browser user agent. Your email address is never shown publicly. Comments may be checked by an automated spam-filtering service.
  • Emails and inquiries: whatever you choose to include when you write to us, for example from the Contact page, or the details you enter in our Work With Us form (such as your name, company, email, website and message). That form is provided by monday.com, which stores the submissions for us.
  • Giveaways: if you enter a giveaway, the information requested on the entry form. If a giveaway runs on a third-party platform, that platform’s privacy policy also applies.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring page, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected by our hosting server logs, Cloudflare, and the analytics tools listed below.
  • Link clicks: our slav.li short links record clicks (time, referrer, browser and IP address) so we know which links are useful.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: see “Cookies” below.

How we use information

  • To run, secure and improve the website, and to keep it fast.
  • To send the Daily Deals emails or texts you asked for.
  • To display and moderate comments and to block spam.
  • To understand which articles, videos and deals people find useful, using aggregated analytics.
  • To receive affiliate commissions (see our Affiliate Disclosure).
  • To reply when you contact us, and to meet legal obligations.

Services we use

These providers process data on our behalf or when you interact with their content. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Brevo: email and SMS newsletter delivery and signup forms. Brevo may record whether an email was opened and which links were clicked.
  • Cloudflare: content delivery, caching and security (DDoS and bot protection). All traffic to the site passes through Cloudflare, and it may set strictly necessary security cookies. We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies.
  • Google Analytics, via the Google Site Kit plugin: visitor statistics. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives your IP address and browsing data. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on.
  • Metricool: web analytics connected to our social media reporting. It loads a tracking script that collects visit data.
  • YouTube (Google): our videos are embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The video player only loads when you click play. Before that, the page shows only a preview image loaded from YouTube’s image servers, which receive your IP address. Once you play a video, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
  • Affiliate networks and retailers: AvantLink, Amazon Associates (amzn.to links) and individual retailers. When you click an affiliate link, the network or store may set cookies to track the referral and any purchase. They don’t share your identity with us; we only see aggregated sales or commission reports.
  • monday.com: hosts our Work With Us form and stores brand partnership inquiries so we can follow up. The form is embedded from forms.monday.com, and monday.com’s privacy policy applies to the data you enter there.
  • Yoast SEO: a WordPress plugin that adds search-engine information to our pages. It doesn’t collect visitor data.
  • Hosting: the site runs on a server operated by a US-based hosting provider in the United States, which keeps standard server logs.

Fonts are hosted on our own server, so loading the site doesn’t contact a font service.

Cookies

  • Necessary: Cloudflare security cookies, and WordPress cookies for logged-in staff.
  • Comments: if you leave a comment and tick the box, WordPress saves your name, email and website in cookies so you don’t have to retype them. These last one year.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics and Metricool cookies, used to measure visits.
  • Affiliate: set by affiliate networks and retailers after you click a store link.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them, but stores may not be able to credit us for a referral.

How long we keep information

  • Newsletter and SMS subscribers: until you unsubscribe, then only as long as needed to respect the unsubscribe request.
  • Comments: for as long as the comment is published, unless you ask us to remove it.
  • Emails and Work With Us inquiries: as long as needed to handle your message, and generally no longer than 24 months.
  • Server logs: generally up to 30 days. Analytics data: up to 14 months, then aggregated or deleted.

Sharing

We don’t sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers above so they can do their job for us, when the law requires it, or to protect the site and its users. If SlavGuns or 2A Media LLC is ever sold or merged, the information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.

Your choices and rights

  • Unsubscribe: use the link at the bottom of any Daily Deals email, or the opt-out instructions in our text messages.
  • Access, correction or deletion: depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, delete or get a copy of your personal information, and to object to some uses of it. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within the time required by law.
  • Comments: ask us to edit or remove a comment you posted.
  • Cookies and tracking: manage them in your browser. You can also use Google’s opt-out add-on for Google Analytics.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, and we limit who can access personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Children

SlavGuns isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our tools or practices change. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
