Hey Squat Squad. I walk into my favorite FFL here in town, take a look at what they have, and honestly I was very pleasantly surprised. This is the Savage 110 Core Predator.
I’ll be honest: I did not spend a lot of time at the Savage booths at NRA and SHOT Show, so I completely missed this. That is on me. Because this thing is really awesome for the money — a brand-new stock, AccuTrigger, AICS mags, a fluted threaded barrel, and an ARCA rail molded into the polymer. As far as I know, this is the first major manufacturer that has put ARCA on a bolt-action in a molded polymer stock.
I have not taken this one to the range yet. I will be hitting up Savage to try to get one for the channel. Until then, this is the in-store walkaround of why it stopped me.
What is actually on this rifle
From the gun on the counter, not from a brochure I am making up:
- New stock with comb height you adjust by rotating a knob. It is very fine-tuned for precision — it takes a lot of rotations. That is a feature, not a bug, if you actually care about cheek weld.
- Rubber buttpad and sling swivel studs.
- Interchangeable rubber grip panels in a couple of sizes. The one on this rifle is the more straightforward precision layout, with a place for a thumbs-forward hold.
- Savage AccuTrigger. You already know this one.
- Oversized magazine release and it feeds from AICS-pattern magazines. That is the aftermarket cheat code on a hunting 110.
- Fluted barrel, threaded for a suppressor or a brake. (Suppressors are NFA — eligible buyers only, do it legal.)
- ARCA rail built in on the molded polymer stock, plus M-LOK on the bottom.
- Like a lot of Savages, there is an aluminum bedding block inside. You can see it in the stock.
Also a whole bunch of hang tags. You don’t pay extra for those, I don’t think.
Why the ARCA thing matters
Tripod and barricade shooting is not just a PRS nerd hobby anymore. Hunters are clamping into tripods. Match kids are sliding bipods on ARCA. Factories have been slow to mold that into a hunting stock instead of making you bolt a rail onto a round forend and pray.
Savage putting ARCA in the polymer, with M-LOK on the bottom, on a 110 that already has AccuTrigger, AICS, and a bedding block, is why I said “very, very attractive offering” for the price point. I did not quote a dollar amount on camera. Go look at the tag at your shop.

What this is not (yet)
This is not a group-size article. I have not shot the Core Predator. I missed it at the shows. I found it at an FFL, got pleasantly surprised, and I am going to ask Savage for one for the channel. If they send it, you get the real T&E. If they don’t, I still think you should go look at one in person because the feature list on a polymer hunting 110 is not supposed to look like this.
Bottom line
Adjustable comb, interchangeable rubber grips, AccuTrigger, oversized mag release, AICS, fluted threaded barrel, molded-in ARCA, M-LOK, aluminum bedding block. For the money, that is a lot of rifle. Go hit up your local gun store.
