Primary Arms CLx 1-6×24 SFP With ACSS 22LR G2: A Real .22 LR LPVO for NRL22 & Plinking

Primary Arms CLx 1-6x24mm SFP rifle scope with ACSS 22LR G2 reticle

Channel fans and family — Primary Arms just dropped a reticle option a lot of rimfire people have been waiting for: the CLx 1-6×24 SFP with the new ACSS 22LR G2. Same compact CLx LPVO package, but the glass is now dialed for popular .22 LR loads instead of making you invent holds for every stage. MAP is $199.99. Pre-order / back-order is open with an ETA of late September (checked live on Primary Arms September 9, 2026).

Why a dedicated .22 LR reticle matters

If you run NRL22, PRS Rimfire, or just a lot of steel and clay on a CZ 457 / 10/22 / RPR Rimfire, you already know the drill: centerfire BDC reticles lie to you on rimfire. Different velocity, different drop curve, different wind. You either dope every distance the hard way or you stick a scope on that was never designed for 36–40 grain pills at 1000–1200 FPS.

ACSS 22LR G2 is Primary Arms answering that with a second-focal-plane BDC built for those common HV / match-ish .22 LR loads. Zero the center at 50 yards, then walk the drops from 75 to 200 in 25-yard steps. That is the practical NRL22 / plinking window, not a marketing fantasy out to 400.

ACSS 22LR G2 — what is on the glass

  • BDC for popular 36–40 gr .22 LR at roughly 1000–1200 FPS
  • 50-yard center zero; holdovers at 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 / 175 / 200
  • Ranging stadia sized to a clay pigeon (~4.3″) at each drop distance — useful when you are staging steel or confirming range without a laser
  • 5 MPH wind hold dots (scale those for 2.5 or 10 MPH when the flags say so)
  • Daylight-visible red center with 11 illumination settings

Second focal plane means the BDC is correct at the magnification Primary Arms designed it for (typically the top end on a 1–6). Run it like an LPVO: 1× for close movers and transitions, crank it when you need the drops and ranging hash marks.

The CLx chassis around it

This is still the lightweight, compact CLx 1-6×24 — the “I do not want a boat anchor on a rimfire rifle” LPVO. Specs that matter on the line:

  • 30 mm tube, good CLx glass for the money
  • 1/2 MOA clicks, 120+ MOA of elevation travel, capped turrets
  • Integrated throw / mag lever
  • Nitrogen purged, IP67 sealed
  • Lifetime warranty

SKU PA-CLX-1-6X24S-ACSS-22LR · MPN 610242 · MAP $199.99.

Who this is for

Buy it if: you want one optic that can run NRL22-style stages, backyard steel, and plinking without a dope book for every 25 yards; you like illuminated LPVOs; you are building or refreshing a rimfire rifle and do not want to spend Nightforce money.

Think twice if: you live in FFP mil trees for PRS Rimfire and already have a dope card you trust; you need first-focal-plane holds at every magnification; you only ever shoot 25 yards and a red dot already owns that job.

We have not T&E’d this specific ACSS 22LR G2 sample yet — this is a new-product / press + live PDP write-up. Specs and pricing above are from Primary Arms’ press notes and the live product page as of September 9, 2026. Stock message on the page: Available for Pre Order/Back Order: ETA Late September.

The move

If your rimfire rifle has been wearing a centerfire reticle “close enough,” this is the clean swap: CLx weight, ACSS holds that actually match .22 LR, MAP two bills. Pre-order now if you want it for fall match season.
