Booth / first look: this is Kimber’s Shot Show–style booth walkthrough of the new 2K11 line. We got a chance to shoot them at the range the day before filming — this is not a long-term owned T&E review.
Channel fans and family — Kimber built their name on 1911s, and now they’re fully in the modern double-stack game with the 2K11 (Kimber’s take on the 2011 pattern). Two models showed up at the booth, optics-ready out of the box, and the finish game on the Target model is… yeah, it’s a looker.

What Kimber is launching
Kimber is launching two double-stack 1911 / 2011-pattern pistols under the 2K11 name:
- Standard / optics-ready 2K11 — plate-system optics ready, fiber-optic front sight, slide serrations, interchangeable grip modules (aluminum / modular grip layout in the 2011 pattern)
- 2K11 Target — same optics-ready approach, plus match-grade barrel, lightening cuts, and a magwell
Both follow the familiar 2011 layout: slide on frame with swappable grip modules. They ship with 2011-pattern magazines (a shorter mag in the booth demo; Kimber notes you can run the longer 140s and 170s as discussed on video). Chamberings called out: 9mm and .45.
Range day + booth feel
The day before this booth clip, we got hands-on range time with them — and they felt very nice. In the booth, the Target model’s finish stands out hard: futuristic, bad-boys energy, the kind of gun that looks like it walked out of a prop shop and somehow still means business. Kimber says these are ready to ship, and the price point is meant to be competitive for the category.

Street should land a bit under those numbers — as always, shop around and verify current pricing before you buy. This writeup is a booth first look with a quick range impression, not a multi-thousand-round accuracy or reliability study.
