New from Sig Sauer: The WHISKEY6 3-18x44mm Multi-Lock Zero-Stop Riflescope

Sig Sauer has officially expanded its flagship hunting optic line with the release of the WHISKEY6 3-18x44mm First Focal Plane (FFP). While the WHISKEY6 has already made a name for itself as a lightweight, high-clarity hunter, the addition of an FFP system brings tactical-level precision to the mountain.

At SlavGuns, we’re fans of gear that works as hard as you do, and this new FFP model is built for shooters who need their reticle to be accurate at every magnification level.

Why FFP Matters for Hunters

The headline for this release is the First Focal Plane (FFP) system. In an FFP scope, the reticle scales up and down as you change magnification. This means your subtensions (the hash marks on your reticle) stay accurate relative to the target whether you are at 3x or 18x. If you need to hold over for a 400-yard shot or hold for a 10mph wind, you can do it at any power setting without doing mental math.

Combat Durability, Hunting Weight

Designed in Oregon by Sig Sauer’s Electro-Optics team, the WHISKEY6 draws on the same DNA as the optics used by elite military units. Despite its rugged pedigree, Sig managed to keep the weight down to just 23.8 oz, making it ideal for “weight-conscious” builds like the Sig CROSS or a custom carbon-fiber bolt gun.

The scope also features the Multi-Lock Zero-Stop elevation dial. This locking push-button design allows you to make quick, precise adjustments to the exposed turret without the hassle of threaded caps. Once you dial back to your zero, it locks firmly in place—no second-guessing in the field.

HDX™ Glass: Daylight in the Dark

Low-light performance is where hunting optics win or lose. The WHISKEY6 utilizes Sig’s HDX™ Optical System, combining extra-low dispersion (ED) glass with high-transmittance (HT) glass. The result is an ultra-sharp image with 98.6% light transmission, giving you those extra few minutes of shooting light when it matters most.

Key Features:

  • First Focal Plane (FFP) System: Accurate holdovers at any magnification.

  • Multi-Lock, Zero-Stop Elevation Dial: Reliable, quick-access turrets.

  • HDX™ Optical System: Industry-leading clarity and light transmission.

  • Milling Hunter 2.0 Reticle: Designed specifically for long-range hunters (available in MOA and MRAD).

  • Removable Throw Lever: Included for fast magnification transitions.

  • Ruggedized Construction: IPX7 waterproof and Argon-purged for fog-proof performance.
