Squat Squad — we are finally starting to see some really cool, innovative stuff. I am at NRA, at the Dark Storm Industries booth, and this is the DS-25 MFR.

We already did videos and content on the MFR AR-15. Now they applied that treatment — and more — to the DS-25. The rifle on the table in this short is 6.5 Creedmoor, built specifically for a couple of professional doorknocker contracts. Title on the video is “AR FIXED.” I am not going to invent the engineering lecture in a fifty-second booth clip.

This is a booth tease, not a range report

Fifty seconds. NRA floor. I did not shoot this sample on camera. I did not list barrel length, weight, or a price, because I did not say those numbers. If you want the two things I got stupid excited about on the rifle, that is the detailed video — it should be out very soon, or linked above when it is.

What the short actually gives you:

  • Same company, bigger application. The MFR treatment you already saw on their AR-15 is now on the DS-25, plus more. Prior channel pass on the 15-side MFR: Is the DSI MFR the End of Expensive Rifles?
  • This display gun is 6.5 Creedmoor. That is the chambering I called out on the floor.
  • Contract gun, not a catalog daydream. Built for a couple of professional doorknocker contracts. That is why it is on the table looking like a serious rifle instead of a SHOT Show mock-up.
  • Two key innovative things I pointed the camera at and then refused to spoil. Watch the detailed video for those. I am not filling the gap with brochure copy.

Where this sits next to the Thunderbolt

DSI is the same shop that sent the bolt-action Thunderbolt for T&E. Different rifle, same house. If you want the long-form take on that one, it is already up: The Truth About the DSI Thunderbolt.

This short is the semi-auto DS-25 MFR on the NRA carpet. Do not mash the two guns together. One is a bolt AR. This one is the fighting-rifle side of the booth, and the only specs I am standing behind are the ones I said out loud.

We do not have a DSI store link. I am not inventing one. For the bags, ARCA junk, and range bits we actually run around rifles like this: SlavGuns Amazon storefront. Anarchy-manufactured parts when the gun is in that ecosystem: Anarchy Outdoors, code SlavGuns on Anarchy-made only.

Bottom line

DS-25 MFR, 6.5 Creedmoor, MFR treatment from the AR-15 applied and then some, sitting at the DSI booth at NRA. “AR FIXED” is the title because that is the story they are telling with this rifle. The two details I got excited about are in the longer video, not in this short, and not in this article.

Want that breakdown when it drops? Join the channel.

Keep squatting. I’ll see you at the next booth.

Are you here for a 6.5 Creedmoor DS-25 that got the MFR treatment, or are you waiting for the detailed video before you care?
