From EP4 / SH4 Gen 2 to the EP5
On tape I walked Michael back through the Arken story a lot of you already lived: the early EP4 and SH4, how those EP4 turrets felt almost unfair at the advertised price, and then the SH4 Gen 2 redo that became the optic most people associate with the brand — feature-packed, solid image for the money, and busy enough that buyers were waiting months.

How they hit the price without the prestige tax
I asked the obvious question: if the feature set and booth glass look this good, why isn’t it hundreds more like the household names?
Michael’s answer on tape: smaller overhead and marketing spend than the big brands, plus they own/control their manufacturing facility — designing and assembling the scopes themselves rather than picking column A/B/C from an OEM catalog and slapping a logo on it. Glass, reticle etching, and coatings still come from specialist suppliers; the point he stressed is they aren’t a pure rebadge shop.
Warranty talk on tape: lifetime coverage plus a 30-day money-back window if you’re not happy early. Outside that window they replace or repair; he said they often ship a new unit to keep customers from waiting forever. That’s their promise as stated — get current terms in writing from the seller.
