Channel fans and family — year in and year out, PSA booth videos are some of the ones you watch the hardest. At Shot Show 2024 I sat down with Stephen of Palmetto State Armory to walk what’s next in handguns after the Dagger, the 5.7, and last year’s teases: compact 5.7, 10mm, .45, a full-size Dagger program, and a Sabre-package Dagger.

Compact 5.7 — next up
Stephen said the first thing available next is the compact 5.7 versus their normal 5.7 (20-round capacity on the full-size story). Booth deltas:
- About a ½-inch shorter grip
- About a ½-inch shorter barrel
- Same PSA feature set called out on camera: threaded barrels and the same options as the current 5.7, just in a more compact package
- Price: PSA price point — no hard number on camera
Pitch for why it exists: the full-size 5.7 is too big for most people to carry; the compact is meant to print less and be the first compact 5.7 in that lane. Bonus booth note: PSA now has its own ammo facility and can make its own 5.7 ammo.
10mm — carry concept + full-size
PSA is branching into more calibers. On the table: a 10mm carry (concept at the time — Stephen said it was high on their voting but not locked) plus a full-size 10mm path.
- 13-round capacity called out for the carry sample
- Sized like their exact compact Dagger package
- Use case talk on camera: practical caliber interest (Alaska / defense mentioned) in a compact footprint

Also on the booth: a .45 in the Dagger family vibe.
- Optics-ready, threaded barrel
- 15 or 16 rounds (as stated on camera)
- Mag extension shown; new grip texture direction
- Mags: proprietary (not industry-standard Glock mags)
Full-size Dagger — two versions
A full-size Dagger shown last year was still in the vote / program talk. Stephen described two versions:
- One that’s full Gen 3 compatible with a 17-length slide
- One that keeps a shorter slide with a full-length dust cover so a compensator can sit flush
All of it still framed at a competitive PSA price point — manufacturing savings passed to the customer, per the booth pitch.
Sabre Dagger package — months out
If you know PSA’s Sabre rifle line, they’re bringing that idea to the Dagger: a Sabre Dagger package Stephen said was coming within the next few months from the booth date. Factory-done customizations instead of stacking aftermarket parts yourself:
- Extended magazine with base plate (five-round extension called out on camera)
- Flared magwell
- Custom stippling and coat-job options
- Exclusive Sabre slide
- Ported / threaded barrels and PSA’s own compensator
- First flat-faced Dagger trigger — exclusive to Sabre at launch, with a standalone path later
- Optics included on the package talk; flashlight “we’ll figure that out”
Same treatment planned for the Micro as well. Value pitch: buying a base gun then a separate slide / parts kit adds up; this package is meant to land ready-to-go cheaper than piecing a competitor together. Same internals / warranty story as the rest of the Dagger family on camera.
Bottom line
Shot Show 2024 handgun booth tour, not a range report: compact 5.7 next, 10mm carry concept (13 rounds / compact Dagger size) plus full-size 10mm, optics-ready .45 with proprietary mags, a two-flavor full-size Dagger program, and a Sabre Dagger package with trigger / slide / magwell / stippling bundled at a PSA price.
