Channel fans and family — Shot Show 2023 Day 1, and I made a beeline for a booth I knew I had to hit. Not just for the optics, but for rifles I’d been trying to get hands-on with for a long time: Victrix, freshly available to the United States. I sat down with John from US Optics, the US importer/distributor, to walk the new big-bore Corvo and the brand-new rimfire Venus.

Victrix Corvo — the .50 BMG “mothership,” finally importable
John’s framing: the Corvo is Victrix’s flagship that retail shooters and collectors in the US had been asking for. At the booth it was the beast that doesn’t look like a stereotypical military hard-target .50 — more collector / ELR-adjacent precision package than “issue” rifle aesthetics.
As taped on the floor:
- .50 BMG, about 29 pounds as shown
- Package includes the bipod, an extra mag, and a case with cut foam
- Folding stock, adjustable furniture, and a mini monopod on the rear
- Booth talk: guaranteed 1 MOA — with the usual ammo caveat
- DLC-coated bolt John called out as a one-finger slide after he’d finally shot his own that weekend
Who’s buying it? John said both ELR interest and a surprising amount of retail / collector demand — people calling wanting the Corvo specifically, not just dealers stocking ELR inventory. At show time they’d only had US inventory about a month; a couple left in stock, then roughly 12 weeks lead. Booth retail called out around $13,000. Colors: tan, green, and gray — customer can specify on order.
Distribution: order through a local dealer or direct from US Optics and ship to your FFL — John described it as more dealer-direct than sitting in broad distribution, which matters if you’re trying to get on a wait list instead of hoping a dealer randomly finds one.
Victrix Venus — competition-minded .22 LR in the same family
Same booth, opposite end of the spectrum: the brand-new Venus in .22 Long Rifle. Original Victrix chassis language, mag work adapted for rimfire, threaded barrel, ARCA rail, flat top rail, QD sling slots, metal chassis, adjustable length of pull and comb — and the same AR-style grip pattern Victrix uses across the line (swappable).
John’s pitch put it squarely in the PRS / PRS-22 (and weekend 300-yard rimfire) lane, not a cheap plinker. Barrel lengths called out: 22 / 24 / 26 inches. Finish on tape: the Orbic blue look they were showing. Victrix runs its own action footprint — not a Remington 700 clone story. Booth availability: several in stock; retail around $4,000.
Centerfire Magnums in between — Scorpio, Tormento, and the big-bore DNA
Victrix’s reputation is still the large-caliber side: John walked Scorpio in the .338 lane and Tormento in the CheyTac-class big-bore lane, with the usual Victrix roll call of .338 Lapua, .375 CheyTac, and .408 CheyTac-class offerings. Those were also called available in the States at the time, in the same tan / green / gray color set, through US Optics or a local dealer.

From .22 to .50 — why this booth mattered
One importer table spanning a PRS-oriented rimfire and a collector/ELR .50 package is exactly why I parked at US Optics Day 1. If you’ve been watching Victrix from overseas and waiting for US access, Shot Show 2023 was the “they’re actually here” moment — Corvo for the mothership crowd, Venus for the competition rimfire crowd, and the magnum centerfires in between.
